Question: Do I Need To Be A Gardening Whiz To Join A Garden Club?
Ask a Gardener
Do I need to be a gardening whiz to join a garden club? Aren’t those for really serious gardeners?
No need to be a gardening pro, or even a whiz! Garden clubs welcome all levels of gardening expertise, and in fact, they are a great avenue for you to connect with other people in your area, or even those nationally, who share you growing passion for gardens. You’ll probably be surprised by the amazing breadth of options in garden clubs and associations. They range from neighborhood groups, to clubs formed around a specific plant group such as Roses, or Dahlias, to broader based regional or national associations that support and promote gardening in general. There are even groups created for specific regional or national planting needs, such as drought resistant plantings for areas like California.
If you’d like to research some of the national gardening clubs and associations available, click here to search our Directory of Garden Associations. Many of the national groups/clubs have local chapters in each state, and they will all welcome you with open stems, branches, and arms!
